RIDGE, NY – On Saturday, May 19th, Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker joined the Ridge Volunteer Fire Department, civic members and elected officials at the Ridge Fire Department’s Memorial Day Service. The memorial service honored the servicemen and women who have lost their lives to protect our freedom. The Ridge Fire Department also graciously held a reception at their headquarters to celebrate Memorial Day.
“I would like to thank the Ridge Volunteer Fire Department and the Ridge community for coming together on such an important holiday,” said Legislator Anker. “It is essential that we remember and honor those who died for our freedom, and continue to support and thank those who are presently serving in our armed forces.”
