MEDIA ADVISORY Northport Village, NY –Small Business Saturday, an annual event which occurs on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, encourages support for small businesses; the backbone of our community. When we shop locally our dollars stay in the community and help support and develop our local economy and quality of life. Small businesses are known to bring a special touch to the retail experience and often have unique collections that can’t be found in big box stores. Legislator Spencer will be joining some friends to bring awareness to the day and encourage everyone to shop small!
