Suffolk County Legislator Tom
Donnelly joined Babylon Town Supervisor Rich Schaffer, Deputy Supervisor
Antonio Martinez, fellow Suffolk County Legislator Susan A. Berland, Esq. and
other dignitaries and community residents in honoring local businessman,
philanthropist and civic-minded volunteer Tony Martinez in a special ceremony
at the conclusion 2018 Deer Park Holiday Parade where he served as Grand
Marshal.
Texas Roadhouse Managing
Partner Tony Martinez has been at the helm of the Deer Park establishment on
Commack Road since it opened in 2013 and is departing the area to manage a
Texas Roadhouse franchise in Florida. The Parade stepped off from Deer Park
High School with participants travelling south on Deer Park Avenue before
ending at the Deer Park Firehouse on Saturday, December 1.
“Tony Martinez has been an avid
supporter of the community, mentoring local youth and contributing his time,
energy and resources to numerous fundraisers and events throughout Deer Park
and the Town of Babylon,” said Legislator Donnelly. “His impact has been felt
by all yet he never sought or desired recognition for all that he has done and
it is a privilege to join others in giving him the acknowledgement and thanks
that he so rightfully deserves. Our loss
is Florida’s gain and we wish him well.”
