SHOREHAM, N.Y. – Legislator Anker attended the Career & Employment Options (CEO) School Business Partnership meeting at Shoreham-Wading River High School. The goal of CEO’s School Business Partnerships is to provide opportunities to students and recognize local businesses and organizations. The meetings are designed to allow the school, its students, and participating businesses to brainstorm ideas and create goals to make students career-ready.
“It is important to expose our children to different options early on so that they can make informed decision about their education and future careers,” said Legislator Anker. “I thank CEO for facilitating this opportunity for students and businesses in our community.”
In addition to brainstorming meetings, CEO highlights Long Island’s growing industries by providing opportunities for shadow days, internships, and employment for students of all learning abilities.
The next CEO School Business Partnership meeting will take place on Thursday, January 10th from 7:30 to 9:30 AM at Shoreham-Wading River High School. For more information, please visit www.ceoincworks.com.
