HUNTINGTON, NY – Suffolk County Legislator Susan A. Berland, Legislator Tom Donnelly, Presiding Officer
DuWayne Gregory and Assemblyman Steve Stern presented
proclamations to student athletes from the Half Hollow Hills School District in
recognition of achieving accolades in their respective sports. The Half Hollow
Hills West varsity football team was honored for winning the Suffolk County
Division II and Long Island Class III Championships. Student athletes from the cross
country, tennis and swim teams were recognized for their division, county and
state designations and awards.
“I am proud
to honor the hard work and dedication of these amazing student athletes,” said Legislator Berland. “They have excelled in their sport and have
made their schools and their communities proud. Balancing academics and athletics
is no small challenge and they deserve this recognition and celebration of
their accomplishments.”
