Mount Sinai, NY – On Sunday, January 27th, Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker attended the 100th birthday celebration of Mount Sinai resident, Marie Mack, held at the Sonoma Grill in Holtsville. In attendance were 75 guests, including four of Mrs. Mack’s children and their spouses, as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
“My warmest wishes to Mrs. Mack on this momentous occasion. It is an honor to celebrate this milestone birthday with her and her family,” said Legislator Anker.
At first a summer resident, Mrs. Mack, born on January 18, 1919, moved full-time to Mount Sinai in 1969. She still resides in the home purchased by her father in 1929, prior to which it was the Mount Sinai Post Office and general store.
Mrs. Mack’s various interests keep her busy. She is an avid collector of bells, loves to travel, and enjoys going for drives on sunny days. She especially looks forward to family dinners and holidays, with her favorite days being her birthday and Christmas.
