Public ParticipationThe Suffolk County Legislature is resuming in-person public attendance and in-person public comment for legislative meetings. Remote testimony options for providing public comment continue to be offered.
Safety Protocols for In-Person Attendance: In accordance with county and state COVID-19 safety protocols, members of the public who wish to provide in-person testimony may do so after having a temperature check upon entry into our building. Regardless of vaccination status, visitors will be required to wear masks and practice social distancing while inside the building. Those interested in addressing the legislature via Zoom may sign up to speak by filling out a speaker card.
Remote testimony options, including Zoom and voicemail, continue to be offered as well.

Members of the public may participate remotely in committee meetings by:
Attend in Person: Attend a meeting at the William H. Rogers Legislature Building and speak at the beginning of any committee meeting during its public portion.
Speak via Zoom: Speak over Zoom at the beginning of any committee meeting during its public portion. Sign up at www.scnylegislature.us/CommitteePublicPortion.
Record Testimony Over the Phone: Parties can call (631) 853-3685 and leave a three-minute message about topics of concern and specific resolutions being considered by lawmakers. Residents should include their name as well as whether they are addressing a specific committee or speaking about a specific resolution.
Send Testimony By Email: Comments may be submitted in writing by emailing Clerk.Legislature@suffolkcountyny.gov.
Send Testimony by Regular Mail: Comments may be mailed to the attention of the Clerkâs Office at the Suffolk County Legislature, P.O. Box 6100, Hauppauge, NY 11788.
